Job Description

Key tasks and responsibilities: Financial Planning and Analysis: Budgeting: Develop and oversee the annual budget process. Forecasting: Prepare regular financial forecasts, including retail site demand by customer. Variance Analysis: Analyse variances between actual results and budget/forecast, providing insights and recommendations. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial statements and monthly performance reports for retail sites. Financial Control and Compliance: Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls for accurate financial reporting. Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards Accounting and Reporting: Retail Site Accounting: Manage accounting and reporting for all retail sites. Monthly Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports, including TB, P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements. Review and analysis of maintenance costs per site. Customer Queries: Review and resolve customer queries related to products, invoicing, and rebates. Retail Data Book Management: Maintain and analyse the retail data book monthly. Non-Fuel Retail Business: Manage and analyse the non-fuel retail business, providing insights to the Head of Retail. Accounting System Management: General Ledger Management: Oversee and manage the general ledger for accuracy. Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations of supplier and customer statements. Rent Roll Management: Ensure accuracy and completeness of rental income and expenses. Transaction Allocation: Allocate and post financial transaction details, reconciling unallocated items. Stock Management: Daily Stock Review: Conduct daily reviews of stock reconciliations Customer Pricing Management: Pricing Review: Review customer pricing and manage the price book. Margin Tracking: Ensure predetermined margins are tracked and adhered to. Investment Analysis: DCF Models: Perform various Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) models for investment decisions. Perform a Post investment review Fixed Asset Management: Asset Register Management: Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring assets are valued correctly Staff Supervision: Staff Support: Provide support and guidance to staff with their queries. Supporting team with any other Adhoc activities Requirements: Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration Strong attention to detail and accuracy while being deadline driven. Experience in Retail Fuel Industry would be beneficial. Strong communication skills to all levels internally and externally. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools.
