Are you an experienced Building Inspector? Worked in Building Control? Updated in Building Regulations 2022?

WRG are proudly supporting a Health and Safety specialist in Bristol, we are looking for a BSR Principal Designer to join the team. You will be joining an established H&S practice who manage an impressive client portfolio which includes high end retail organisations, professional sports clubs, blue chip corporations, luxury developers and financial institutions. Schemes are located in London, South East and the surrounding home counties, project values range from £300k - £500 million.

You the successful BSR Principal Designer will undertake duties and support the direction of the department alongside side the Partner. You will assist with daily responsibilities, recruitment and have a stay on strategic decisions. Ideally we are looking for a professional who is confident, client facing and strong technically.

Responsibilities

• Carryout building control inspections, site visits, surveys and prepare reports.
• Offer advice around the Building Safety Act.
• Liaise with Principal Designer, Principal Contractor, Architects, Design teams and other parties to ensure compliance on projects.
• Undertake plan checks submitted for Building Regulation approval.
• Inspect properties and buildings at key stages of the building process.
• Attend client and design team meetings to offer professional input relation to building regs compliance.
• Provide technical advice to clients, contractors, developers, colleagues, and key stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are completed in line with current building regulations and legislation.

Building Regulations (BSR) Principal Designer

• Degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management or similar discipline.
• Membership to RICS, CABE or CIOB.
• Experience of inspecting buildings and properties.
• Excellent knowledge of BSA, building regulations, codes and legislation.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
