Check out our website for more information on what we are all about Your objectives: To leverage extensive experience in designing, estimating, and project support within the automotive sector, utilising strong analytical and interpersonal skills to deliver accurate cost estimations and ensure project success. The role requires a high attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, effective problem-solving, and adaptability to changing working conditions, while maintaining professional work ethics and willingness to travel as needed. What will you be doing? Reviewing preliminary designs. Compiling bills of quantities and labour requirements. Utilising technical knowledge of mechanical work to conduct a variety of cost estimating activities. Reviewing client specifications and informing the Engineering Manager of any exceptional requirements that could significantly impact the project cost estimate. Ensuring client requirements are properly addressed in the proposal. Attending project kick-off meetings with the project team to brief them on the costing methodology. Handling the costing of variation orders. Planning materials required for large-scale projects. Compiling detailed manufacturing drawings for production purposes. Conducting site measurement valuations and managing all relevant documentation. Collaborating with the Contracts Manager and/or Supervisor on-site for design purposes. Ensuring design drawings are current and up to date with the project installation. Compiling project documentation, including weld maps, datasheets, drawing updates, bill of materials, and spare parts lists. Implementing ISO policies, procedures, and documentation. Performing additional tasks as required to support the employer's business operations. Who are you? What you bring to the MC Team: A relevant N2 Electrical Engineering Qualification. A National Diploma or BTech (advantageous). E-Plan basic certification. Proficient skills in the full MC Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) & MS Projects. Proven design capabilities, utilizing design software such as Inventor and/or AutoCAD. Proven Experience in E-Plan 5.7, E-Plan P8 and E-Plan V12. 3-5 years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of both education and experience in Electrical Engineering. A valid Code 08 Drivers License.
