Remuneration: £40,000 - £50,000 + bonus

The role of the Design Estimator Fire Detection & Security Systems will involve:

Design Estimator position dealing with the design, supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire, suppression, voice, security and integrated systems

Working with main contractors, M&E contractors and end users

Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and enquiries

Offering technical support to the sales team with surveys, client meetings and pre & post tender meetings where required

Liaise with clients to discuss the technicalities of their requirements

Building and developing relationships with clients predominantly over telephone

Attending occasional client meetings and site surveys as and when required

Project order values can vary from £10,000 £1,000,000

The ideal applicant will be a Design Estimator Fire Detection & Security Systems with:

Must have design and quotation experience in the fire and security market sector

Sound knowledge of various systems such as: Fire Alarm & Fire Detection, EVC Systems, Evacuation Alert Systems, PAVA, Air Sampling, Atex & IS Systems, Gas Suppression, Access Control, CCTV, Intruder, PA Systems

Must be confident and have excellent telephone manor

Excellent communications skills both written and verbal

Stable career background

Attention to detail and methodical organisational skills
