Mini Piling Operative

As a Mini Piling Operative, you will play a crucial role in supporting our piling operations on construction sites. You will be responsible for assisting with the installation of foundations, ensuring that all work is carried out efficiently and to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in the setup and operation of piling rigs and associated equipment.
• Support the installation of piles as directed by the site supervisor.
• Conduct routine maintenance and checks on piling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to all health and safety regulations on site.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any issues or concerns to the site supervisor.
• Feedback to site management with near miss/close call reporting.

Essential Skills:

• Previous experience in piling operations or a related field is essential.
• Knowledge of piling techniques and equipment is an advantage.
• A practical hands-on approach.
• CSCS/CPCS is advantages but not essential.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Practical, logical, and able to solve problems quickly.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work flexibly to support the overall aims of the team and changing priorities.
• Flexibility to travel around the UK and hold a full UK driver's license.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Hours of work are typically 7:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday with paid breaks, however flexibility is required.
