Profile – Wire Person

Our client is a leading defence organisation who design/develop and manufacture complex systems for use in the marine and defence sectors globally. Candidates will have the opportunity to work with an internationally renowned brand providing superior products to their clients.

Job Role – Wire Person

Reporting to the Production Manager the Wire Person is responsible for the assembly, installation, and maintenance of cable and wire harnesses used in various electrical systems.

Duties –Wire Person

• Assemble wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and connectors according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Perform cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, and splicing of wires and cables.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical drawings.

Experience/Qualifications – Wire Person

• Experience working to IPC/WHMA-A-620 Standards

Candidates who are currently an Electrical Technician, Electronics Technician, Wiring Technician, Manufacturing Engineer and Production Engineer could be suitable for this role.
