STIR Trading Analyst, Hedge Fund, Singapore

The right candidate would have the following:

• 1-2 years of experience at a tier 1 bank or fund ideally working in a trading/analytic/research capacity. Hedge Fund Sales backgrounds may be considered
• Strong enthusiasm and understanding of financial system infrastructure/monetary system mechanics and STIR markets, especially the Japanese and US markets, respectively
• Demonstrable experience in quantitative analytics practices, such as time series analysis.
• Minimum BSc from a highly regarded institutions in a relevant subject
• Strong communication skills in English (as you will be communicating with international team members)
• Fluency in Japanese (due to market exposure) or dedicated knowledge on the JPY rates market *preferred, not required*

Due to the nature and size of the fund, the role will be broad. However, key responsibilities will involve:

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of financial systems and short-term interest rate markets, with a focus on Japan and the United States.
• Develop and enhance data analytics tools and dashboards to support ongoing analysis.
• Undertake market scanning/research to keep up to date with current trends
• Supporting stakeholders on trade booking and execution
