Associate Director, Group Finance (Financial Services).

You will lead a high-performing team, ensuring a strong foundation for accurate and timely financial reporting. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the creation, maintenance, and review of the COA, ensuring its accuracy and reflecting the organization's evolving financial landscape.

A key aspect of this role is providing expert guidance during new product rollouts and system implementations. You will collaborate with various teams, offering support with accounting entries, financial controls, and GL reconciliations.

Your keen analytical skills will be utilized to proactively monitor the GL and identify any potential risks or control issues. You will then work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution. Additionally, you will oversee Nostro monitoring, reporting, and operations.

The role requires strong collaboration and communication skills, as you will partner with internal and external auditors to support their requests. You will also be responsible for the annual review of internal documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GL policies.

This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. You will be instrumental in identifying opportunities to streamline processes through automation (RPA) or other means, all while maintaining robust financial controls.

Requirements:

A recognized university degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, or an equivalent qualification is essential. We require at least 12-15 years of relevant experience within a simialr role within a Banking environment, including a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
