DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Read and understand drawings Ensure correct drawing used for specific job Loading CNC lathe or manual lathe by either using an overhead crane or doing it manually. Ensure correct material usage Programming of CNC Lathe. Clocking up the job in the machine Identify the correct tooling for the required application Ensure that all job related documentation is filled in and signed as requested. Ensure that work details, instructions and steps are followed as required. Load and down loading of approved programmes to and from designated computer. Complete job within allocated hours Be prepared to work overtime/shifts when required QUALIFICATIONS: Technical Grade 12 (N3); Qualified Turner Machinist. EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years experience within a heavy engineering environment. Must be familiar with Fanuc, Mazak and Siemens controls. Milling background would also be an advantage.
