Job Description
Homes for Students is one of the UK's leading providers of student accommodation. We are seeking a Reporting Analyst to join our team based in Liverpool, working 40 hours per week from 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. At the centre of our data strategy we have a simple goal, to gain deep insights into our data to support our strategic decisions. You will carry out numerous reporting functions within our PBSA and HMO portfolio's. You will be responsible for generating actionable insights to help guide decision-making across the business. You will be required to present reporting and data confidently to the wider team.
This role requires a blend of analytical and administration skills.
Major Duties:
• Supporting the production of daily/weekly and monthly reporting
• Creating custom reports on an ad-hoc basis, presented in an ‘easy-to-understand' format
• Ensure data requests are effectively prioritised and are actioned within the agreed SLA
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure business needs are met
• Investigate queries raised in relation to data and reporting
• Assist with the continuous improvement, development and streamlining of reporting processes
Experience:
• Proven expertise in data modelling, statistical analysis, and the use of analytics and visualisation tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI)
• Understand MS Excel to an advanced level including Power Query, VBA, Macros
• Experience of building powerful dashboards using BI software
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams
