As an EscalatorEngineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance, minor repairs, and component replacements on escalators in your assigned portfolio. Youll also conduct safety inspections, address non-compliance issues, and improve equipment performance to reduce call-backs and downtime.

Key Responsibilities of the successful Escalator Engineer:

• Perform regular maintenance and servicing of escalator systems, including minor repairs and part replacements, following company procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve escalator breakdowns, ensuring they are returned to full working order efficiently.
• Complete routine inspections, adjustments, and testing of escalator systems, ensuring they meet company and industry standards.
• Use technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and fault-finding techniques to troubleshoot issues and restore escalators to service.
• Ensure all work is conducted following company health, safety, and environmental policies, as well as UK regulations.
• Attend mandatory training sessions and adhere to company safety guidelines.

Requirements of the successful Escalator Engineer:

• Proven experience in escalator servicing, maintenance, or repairs is preferred.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in escalator maintenance is essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, able to liaise with clients, supervisors, and inspectors.
• Full UK driving licence (not required for walking routes).
