Infrastructure Specialist

My client is looking for 2 new team members. A Senior & a Junior Infrastructure Support Engineer is required by leading UK tech client based near Birmingham. As part of a growing team, your time will be spent working on building your expertise in Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, Azure and other technologies. You'll be a proactive problem-solver, identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact clients who are broad and varied, public and private sector across the UK. Any practical experience of cloud technologies (Azure/AWS) would be advantageous.

About the Role:

Key responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues
• Maintaining and monitoring infrastructure
• Collaborating on projects to implement new solutions
• Leveraging your technical expertise to optimise services
• Proactively identifying and addressing potential issues
• Support, coach, and mentor the more junior members of the team, leading by example
• Contribute with ideas and suggestions on continuous service improvement
• Develop, produce and maintain IT documentation and follow IT procedures as required

To be considered a suitable candidate for the Senior role, you will need to show proven experience in a long term 2nd or 3rd Line support role. Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Intune, Teams, Azure, Citrix, and VMWare. Experience with Backup/Archiving technologies. Scripting knowledge such as Powershell and an interest in automation/orchestration. You'll be a strong advocate for ITIL process. A client-centric mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional service. A collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in a team environment. Driving license is required for potential travel around the UK and a valid UK passport for international travel which may pop up occasionally for some of the team.
