Job Description

Alexander Lloyd Senior Finance are delighted to be partnering a high growth travel & leisure organisation with the key hire of a Commercial Analyst on a permanent basis.

With Offices Based in Europe, this role sits within the UK Finance Function working closely with the CFO & Head of Commercial Finance.


London - with hybrid working (twice per week in the London office)

Up to £50,000 + bonus + benefits


Candidate Profile


Candidates will be Studying CIMA or be Qualified by experience, and will need to demonstrate a strong commercial finance background with examples of business partnering with senior stakeholders. Experience within a high growth/start up environment would be of keen interest!


Key Duties

  • Working closely with the group leadership team to formulate the business's medium to long term financial and strategic plan. Help business leaders identify leading and lagging performance metrics to manage the business.
  • Prepare business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions. Produce models with business leaders to project the impact of investments, growth initiatives or operating decisions.
  • Work with group leadership team to build their annual budgets.
  • Provide detailed analysis and commentary on monthly results and work with accounting and group leadership to create the monthly report of business results.
  • Analyse financial and operational results to better understand company performance. Communicate to group and corporate leaders the reasons behind the product/department performance and results.


Qualifications and Experience

  • QBE with industry experience in a similar role
  • Ideally Retail/Travel sector experience
  • Experience using Adaptive Insights/Power BI or similar, SAP is preferable
  • Proven experience of extracting & manipulating data from a variety of sources
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Commercial finance experience
