Our Opportunities

Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Perth, Glasgow, Reading or Havant.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time or Part Time with Flexible First options available

Within SSEN Distribution, our Operational Technology (OT) teams develop, design, deliver, maintain, improve and secure a range of technologies and systems that monitor and control our electricity distribution network.

Managing new technologies, reducing technical obsolescence, connecting assets to assets, tackling cybersecurity hurdles, these are all part of the landscape in OT.

Do you have experience in the electricity, gas, oil, water, telecommunications, manufacturing, food and beverages or transportation industries? We would love for you to join us as we grow our team.

We have a number of exciting opportunities including:

Technical Engineer (£46,626 - £60,730)

You will provide a hardware and software support management service for our Primary and Secondary Operational Technology Applications. The role requires a good level of technical and operational understanding of the Operational Applications (software and hardware) and requires a high level of communication skills to understand complex faults and issues.

Senior Telecoms Asset Engineer (£65,752 - £76,366)

In role, you will forecast and manage the health of various communications systems, supporting the operation of our electricity distribution networks. You will focus on the performance of our suppliers, resilience of our links and asset management of our technologies.
