Job Description

Summary: The Compounding Operator is responsible for making good fill materials according to the product formulation while also following cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Set up and tear down equipment as needed for cleaning.
  • Operate electric drum lifts, manual drum lifts, forklift and pallet jacks
  • Ability to communicate and interact with other departments (Gelatin, Encapsulation, Maintenance, Quality Assurance and etc.)
  • Executes proper shift change and communicates all information pertaining to the operator's area of responsibility
  • Assists with janitorial duties in production areas when required
  • Ensures that work area is clean and always organized
  • Communicates solutions and ideas on how to improve department to leadership
  • Adhere to HACCP and Food Safety
  • Performs all duties in compliance with safety rules, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and cGMPs
  • Clean and sanitize all equipment pertaining to SOPs.
  • Report any equipment issues to your supervisor or maintenance and fill out work requests as needed
  • Train others in your department when needed
  • Document all entries in the batch record as required for process verification
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Clean tanks and equipment as needed

Qualifications/Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or (GED) preferred
  • Proficient in English Language skills (verbal/written). Because of the requirements of the position, employee must be able to read/understand work processes to produce a quality product without deviations. The position also requires data entries to logs and reports.
  • Previous experience working with manufacturing equipment
