Category Manager (Digital and Technology)

Procurement Heads are representing a UK market leading Consumer client, who are currently seeking to appoint an IT Category Manager into their team. This role will work closely within a medium sized team, reporting into the Digital Lead.

We're looking to appoint a confident senior Procurement specialist, with a background and track record for working on complex procurements specifically across Saas (Software as a Service). In this role, you'll manage all procurement for c.£150m spend, handling large scale-negotiations with the likes of Microsoft and Salesforce.

Your key accountabilities will include

• Sourcing and contract management
• Category strategy development
• Supplier relationship management
• Cross-functional collaboration
• Risk management

Essential criteria for the role includes

• Strong category knowledge across Digital and Technology
• Good people engagement and influencing skills at all levels in an organisation.
• A good business partner with strong negotiation skills and ability to build and develop relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Proven experience working on complex negotiations within procurement
• Strong experience in Procurement particularly in SaaS
• Willingness to commute into the office, three days per week to Central London HQ
