Legal Counsel 1-3PQE - Corporate/Commercial/Product - Hybrid role

We are working on an exciting opportunity with a excellent global blue-chip group based in the South Downs region of the UK role for a Commercial Legal Counsel to join their product team with 1-3 years PQE.

The successful candidate will have procurement experience, ideally with some knowledge of research development agreements but this is not essential to the role. Some SaaS agreements is also ideal but again not essential.

Responsibilities include:

• Contract drafting, review, negotiation and approval for all contracts required and there should be a focus on high value and high-risk contracts.
• Provide legal services/advice in relevant areas of the law, including but not limited to: Commercial Contracts; Regulatory (Med Dev); SaaS agreements; Procurement; Finance; Competition; Data Protection and Anti-Bribery.
• Escalate legal issues and requests for approvals relating to contracts and legal issues.
• Advise on and actively mitigate legal risks.
• Seek external legal advice where required
• Actively monitor, manage, control and report on any litigation as requested.
• Report to the Associate General Counsel REU or Business Line General Counsel on any high risk and significant legal issues identified or suspected.
