O&M Technician BESS

Responsibilities:

• Participate in O&M activities for site improvement and LV/HV electrical network maintenance.
• Manage and assist with all maintenance tasks.
• Ensure compliance with Electrical Safety Rules (ESRs).
• Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Maintain logs of maintenance activities.
• Produce RAMS for LV scheduled works.
• Ensure electrical safety during all LV and electrical works.
• Develop new maintenance procedures as needed.
• Identify resources and subcontractors for maintenance tasks.
• Oversee contractor activities to ensure effective maintenance.
• Complete paperwork: labor returns, timesheets, expenses, material allocations.
• Liaise with the Operational management team and site operatives.
• Perform Electrical Site Technician duties on-site.
• Work on DC and LV systems, diagnose issues.
• Submit LV switching schedules per project programs.
• Promote a positive HS&E culture and suggest improvements.
• Identify and report on activity improvements and training needs.

Requirements;

• Electrical Engineering background
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as field technician for PV Solar/BESS projects
• Qualified Electrician
• Proficient in electrical systems design and solar connections
• Up to date industry recognized AP course (HV AP 2/ AP3 Authorization)
• Test equipment/ able fault finding / VLF testing /IR
• Experience in renewable energy installations (O&M, Construction, etc)
