Principal Bridge Engineer

Our client is a specialist bridge engineering company, who are looking to expand their design engineering team. There is an immediate requirement for a specialist Structural Engineer with a love and passion for bridge engineering. The role would suit somebody who is highly technical and enjoys a fast-paced environment.

Our client is open to hiring in almost any UK location, however travel to site will be required on a frequent basis so you must be based in the UK on a permanent basis.

This is a particularly unique opportunity to join a growing design team at the start of their journey and will allow the right person plenty of room for growth.

Role and Responsibilities

• Take a lead in all technical design aspects of the projects
• Carry out structural analysis and design for all bridge types (steel, concrete, and composite bridges)
• Liaise and collaborate with clients and other stakeholders
• Where required provide expertise when projects are construction phase, ensuring adherence to design specifications
• Assist with mentoring junior engineers, to increase their skills and knowledge

Requirements

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)

Ideally Chartered already (ICE/IStuctE), or very close to achieving it

Must have recent specialist knowledge of bridge design in the UK

Must hold a valid full driving license

Salary & Benefits

• Healthcare
• 25 days leave + birthday off
• £55,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience and suitability)
