Internship Details

Latham & Watkins is seeking an intern for its Healthcare & Life Sciences practice at the Paris office.

Paid internship with a minimum duration of 3 months (several periods are available in 2024 and 2025).

Our team is renowned for its in-depth knowledge of regulatory law concerning health products (medicines, medical devices, cosmetics, health-related consumer products, etc.) at both the European and French levels. This expertise regularly leads us to advise numerous multinationals, startups, and other sector players.

During this internship, you will have the opportunity to enhance your training and develop your skills and knowledge alongside all members of the HCLS team while working directly with other departments of the firm (corporate, litigation, competition, etc.) as well as with colleagues from other offices in Europe and internationally.

Your will experience a dynamic and collegial environment, with the chance to work on interesting regulatory issues in a national, European, and international context.

You will be integrated into the life of the team and the firm, and work on a variety of cases, from preliminary stages (legal research) to drafting the final deliverable, as well as participate in writing articles and other tasks.

Desired Profile

• Law student enrolled at a bar school, highly interested in the life sciences sector and preferably holding a degree in health law or pharmaceutical law (or similar degree) and/or having previous experience in the health products industry.
• Student holding a degree in health law or pharmaceutical law, or similar degree.
• Student from Sciences Po.

Beyond this profile, we are primarily looking for a motivated and curious candidate who will fit well into our team.

Required Skills

• Excellent command of English;
• Proficiency in office tools;
• Autonomy, legal rigor, sense of initiative and responsibility;
• Particular interest in the life sciences sector.
