Domain name management requires ongoing attention to deliver against our digital strategy’s objectives. Therefore, we are recruiting a Domain Name Specialist who will develop the domain name strategy, plan and drive its execution across functions and execute daily management of a portfolio of 3 000+ domain names.



Your next challenge



  • Develops the domain name strategy supporting the digital strategy objectives while optimizing domain names portfolio. Works closely with the Brand and SEO as well as IT and legal departments to embed improvements of cyber security and protection of the domain names. Defines OKRs and how to track progress.
  • Defines governance related to domain name management (comitology, RACI) and processes.
  • Coordinates and tracks the execution of strategy through the development of work plans, and appropriate project management and reporting (gathering & consolidating data; creating and sharing weekly, quarterly, and annual strategy performance reports; performing analyses, acting as an operational proactive interface across functions, involving & liaising with the right people to push things forward, obtains vital information etc...)
  • Defines and updates as needed guidelines for Domain Names: this includes naming policy/convention and framework/rules to apply for new registrations, renewals, releases, redemptions (ex. durations, gTLD/ccTDL, misspellings, type of protection etc). Promotes awareness and educates countries & global teams about guidelines.
  • Reviews existing portfolio including expiring domains and define need for consolidation or optimization; accordingly define domain names to register, to renew, to let go. Proposes annual budget required for strategy execution.
  • Own and run the new domain/subdomain requests and validation process involving appropriate stakeholders (incl. IT, Brand, Legal, SEO). Promotes awareness around the process and educates countries & global teams about it. Enforces domain naming policy thru it and follows up on requests until validation. Once DN approved, triggers subsequent registration tasks, and communicates decisions to requesters.
  • Defines redirection strategy for inactive domains liaising with business owners and SEO.
  • Defines, selects, and daily manages tool (if any is specific to DN management) and/or workflows in tools required to execute Domain Name management in an efficient manner. Acts as tools/workflows owner and superuser. Performs administrative and operational work related to the tool lifecycle (PO, invoices, disputes, renewals, set up, accesses etc...) – if any
  • Maintains an up-to date inventory of all the domain names owned ie track the domain names, registration dates, expiration dates, and other relevant information such as if they are active, redirected or unused for example, business usage of the DN etc...
  • In case of massive renaming program, prepares change, lists correspondence of old domain names to new domain names, planned date of change, and tracks/reports changes execution.
  • Follows-up, controls and reports against expenses related to Domain Name; Reforecasts. a definition of duties and tasks that are to be accomplished by participants and representatives as regards name portfolio management.
  • Circulates information to all stakeholders: over and above operational aspects, the domain names manager fulfils a key role in terms of gathering and redistributing information.




You’re a match


  • Proven hands-on experience in developing a portfolio management strategy based on company's goals and budget constraints, and in driving its execution across a global matrix organization with a portfolio of thousands of domain names.
  • Experience in consolidating and rationalizing a large legacy inventory a plus.
  • Experience in building an inventory for new brands and in driving required operations in the context of rebranding.
  • Proficiency in evaluating potential domain names that align with the company's business goals and brand strategy (eg ensuring consistency, memorability, and brand protection) taking into account user preferences/habits.
  • Proficiency in analyzing domain name performance data, monitoring key metrics, and generating reports and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Familiarity with the impact of domain names on SEO as well as legal and regulatory requirements related to domain names, and basics of tech aspects related to domain names (DNS management and security)
  • Strong written and communication skills to collaborate with internal & external stakeholders.
  • Budget management (forecasting, controlling)
  • MS Excel and ppt
  • Attention to details.
  • Project management skills
  • Mandatory full fluency in English
