About the Role:

The successful candidate will work on a classroom collaboration tool used by educators and students worldwide. The primary responsibility will be to plan, design, execute, and automate tests, ensuring rapid and effective feedback to the product team. While the role emphasizes front-end web service testing, there is also the opportunity to explore back-end embedded product testing as experience is gained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in project concept meetings to define test requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive test procedures, documentation, and reports.
• Design and automate functional, performance, and other tests.
• Conduct exploratory testing for individual components or features.
• Identify, document, and track bugs through to resolution.
• Communicate and summarize testing status to the project team.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• A commitment to product quality and a passion for testing as a craft.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A technical diploma or university degree in a related field.
• Proven industry experience in software testing.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Authorization to work in Northern Ireland.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with test automation, software development, or scripting.
• Familiarity with open-source testing tools like RobotFramework, Python, Selenium, Sikuli, Appium.
• Knowledge of continuous integration systems such as TeamCity.
• Experience with Git workflow and tools like SourceTree.
• Expertise in UI and usability testing, particularly web software testing.
• Proficiency with Chrome DevTools.
• Experience with iOS and Android device testing, as well as Windows and Mac operating systems.
