Job Title: Data Quality Consultant




Location: Hybrid (Home-based with travel to offices across the South of England)
Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum
Clearance: Must be eligible for SC (Security Clearance) - British nationality, minimum 5 years UK residency, no criminal convictions or seriously adverse credit.

About the Role: Our client, a leading IT consultancy, is seeking a skilled Data Quality Consultant to join their team. Specialising in Central Government and Defence sectors, our client works on high-impact projects, ensuring data is managed, governed, and optimised to drive effective decision-making and regulatory compliance.

Role Overview: The Data Quality Consultant will play a critical role in assisting end-customer organisations by assessing, designing, and implementing data quality solutions. The consultant will work closely with public sector clients to enhance data integrity, improve operational efficiency, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and improve data quality frameworks across client environments.
  • Conduct data profiling, cleansing, and root cause analysis to address data issues.
  • Design and implement robust data governance models to maintain long-term data quality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve data quality challenges.
  • Provide expert guidance on best practices, regulatory compliance, and data security standards.
  • Deliver training and workshops to empower client teams in effective data quality management.

Candidate Profile:

  • Extensive experience in data quality, data management, or data governance.
  • Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in data profiling, cleansing, and transformation.
  • DAMA CDMP certification preferred.
  • Defence or central government experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with tools such as SQL, Python, and specialised data quality tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Prior experience with government or defence sector clients is highly desirable.
  • Must be eligible for SC clearance.
  • Willingness to travel - role will be remote with travel to end customers as much as twice per week.
