PRONOE is an ocean CO2 removal startup based in France. We restore the ocean’s natural capacity to permanently remove CO2 from the air in a sustainable, scalable, and asset-light manner. We develop and deploy automated water treatment systems that safely turn the liquid discharge of coastal industries into less acidic, more alkaline flows within current regulations. The result is high-quality CO2removal, valorization of otherwise wasted effluents, and local ocean acidification mitigation.

Context:

Under the supervision of the CTO, you will be a part of our Engineering team, focusing on designing and coordinating the realization and deployment of PRONOE’s Demo System. You will manage internal and external stakeholders, finalize the design of the Demo System, facilitate the assembly, integration, and test phases, and assist in the delivery and on-site commissioning of our Demo System. Thus, help PRONOE achieve critical milestones in our technical and operational development. This hands-on and management position has the potential for evolution into leadership and management positions as the company scales.

Main Missions:

• Lead and manage engineering team members for design in close collaboration with 3rd parties.
• Prepare and review technical documents and approve execution drawings and specifications.
• Ensure technical documentation and coordination end-to-end across the Design, Procurement, Assembly, Integration, Tests, Commissioning and Operations phases.
• Contribute to the structuration of the Eng. team, to project management, and setting up tools, internal processes and engineering facilities.

Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineer; Process Engineer; Chemical Engineer (Eng., MSc, PhD)

Experience: Technology RD&D; Piloting/Troubleshooting Chemical Processes; Industrial Project Management, Instrumentation & Automation; Mechanical Design/CAD

Relevant Industries: Cleantech; Water Treatment; Food & Beverages; Desalination; Energy

Expected Skills & Behaviors:

• Proficiency in English - good writing and oral communication skills are necessary.
• Knowledge in Industrial Engineering: Systems Engineering, Specifications, Project Management.
• A Pragmatic, Autonomous, and Rigorous Individual with analytical and synthetical thinking,
• An Open-minded, Humble, Reliable and Trustworthy Team Player.

Practicalities:

Full-time Open-ended (CDI) position based in Paris (France), with travels in France and Europe.

Competitive compensation [salary and equity], based on seniority and experience.
