Senior Project Manager - Renewables

Job Description

The company is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager in Renewable Energy, ideally based in a major European city or one of its regional offices. This role will be part of the Structuring & Execution (S&E) department, responsible for project management, contract and purchasing management, supply chain, construction, and technical expertise.

Key responsibilities include:

• Continuous Improvement: Enhancing and implementing processes, tools, and models for efficient project execution.
• Project Support: Leading the structuring and execution phases of projects, particularly focusing on the financial and operational aspects.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the coordination of projects from Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) securitization to financial close and manage the execution phase, including construction contracts, site activities, cost tracking, and relationships with lenders and equity partners.
• Support capital expenditures (CapEx), operational expenditures (OpEx), and financial model optimization to achieve desired project economics.
• Assist in the selection, negotiation, and management of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), Operations & Maintenance (O&M), and supply agreements.
• Oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE), contractual, scheduling, and budgetary issues, while managing the construction site team.
• Ensure proper coordination among project team members and adherence to the group's processes, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications:

Project Management:

• Experience managing renewable energy projects during structuring and execution phases, adhering to safety, schedule, and budgetary requirements.
• Strong experience coordinating between project teams, lenders, equity investors, contractors, and third parties.
• Risk assessment, technical due diligence, and governance skills.
• Proficiency in two languages is mandatory, with additional languages considered a plus.

Contract & Procurement Management:

• Knowledge of EPC contracts, turbine or PV module supply agreements, balance of plant, and long-term service agreements.
• Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.

Construction Management:

• Experience hiring and supervising site management teams, reviewing design documentation, and managing project commissioning.
