Job Description


Our client, a leading global technology group in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join their team in Waterlooville. The company offers high-performance connectivity solutions that manage power and data flows seamlessly from sensors and devices to the cloud and AI, enabling the emergence of new ecosystems. With nearly 600 people worldwide, four R&D centres and six manufacturing sites, our client is expanding its team to support growth and succession planning.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspiring face-to-face customer visits in collaboration with the Sales Force and Key Account Managers
    • Travel up to 40%
  • Generate and maintain good relationships with customers
  • Understand customer technical challenges and transform them into technical solutions
  • Design innovative connectivity solutions built on connector, cable assembly, and electronic solutions
  • Collaborate with our technical experts' network and global footprint
  • Generate technical drawings and create commercial proposals
  • Follow and support product pre-production
  • Keep up to date with advancing and improving technologies (products, processes, and manufacturing capabilities)
  • Nurture our solutions portfolio


Job Requirements:


Hard Skills:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in microtechnology, mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Proven experience in new product development
  • Experience in customer-facing roles
  • Familiarity with CAD software
  • Experience with ERP software (SAP)
  • Knowledge in one or several of the following is welcome: connectivity, cable technology, electronics, signal integrity, fibre optic
  • Ability to work in the local language and English (B2 level)


Soft Skills:

  • Demonstrate strong interest in new product development
  • Good communication skills to develop trust with customers
  • Rigorous, structured, and analytical
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills during development and initial manufacturing phases
