As an Architect you will act as a software development engineer with additional responsibilities.
You will define, drive and maintain software architecture with respect to customer requirements and company's objectives for a given system or subsystem.

Your Main Responsibilities

Common accountabilities:
  • Proficient in technical knowledge to ensure team performs at a high level.
  • Responsible of software development engineer activities (user requirements definition, technical solution design and coding, testing, software solutions debugging...)
  • Propose, Drive, & Lead in Architecture & Design Review Boards, design and develop modules & artifacts for Amadeus products platform components in concert with other architects and tech leads in the team.
  • Assess complex problems with broad impact on the activity, improve processes, recommend solutions and risk mitigation plans. Able to communicate complex information.
  • Works with a high level of autonomy, based on management directions. Leads projects and contributes to broad cross-functional projects.
  • Challenging status quo by investigating ideas and potential growth drivers for Amadeus. Leveraging design thinking and lean processes to methodically define and validate value propositions
  • Handover the solution, when validated, to the R&D teams when entering the development phase,

Specific accountabilities:

Technical expertise
  • Responsible for software architecture throughout the lifecycle development taking into consideration system constraints and enterprise architecture strategic directions
  • Design solutions at the platform or application level, coordinating with all the necessary teams to reach an agreement, ensuring solution consistency across projects and applications, ensuring all gaps are identified, and tracking dependencies.
  • Lead studies analyze cross-functional requirements, and other cross-organization, cross-functional solutions by interacting with all stakeholders (including architects, technical and functional experts, and delivery teams...),
  • Contribute to breaking vision down into achievable actions while keeping global consistency and feasibility over areas,

Stakeholder Management:
  • Interact with Product Managers or directly with the customers to ensure a full understanding of the business needs and customer constraints. Combine focus on customer expectations and integration of Amadeus strategy for any proposal,
  • Support the Product Management community product vision by ensuring that all customers can use solution designs and add value to the product.
  • Communicate progress on solutions and agreements at any stage of the mission within the core team,
  • Contributes to the architect community, educates, studies options, and recommends evolutions
  • Document and present solution recommendations to all stakeholders, with the ability to explain complex technical information in simple ways to a diverse audience,

Participate in architecture transversal activities for Amadeus IT group, encompassing:
  • Our Cloud Native application foundations / micro-service based architecture.
  • Low/No-Code capabilities.
  • Event Driven Architecture, Stream Processing & asynchronous designs.
  • Open Data, Data Mesh & Data Driven architecture transformation.
  • Data Analytics, ML / AI / GenAI platform for Amadeus.
  • External & Internal APIs strategy.
  • Graphical user interface technical foundations & its integration with our back-end environment.
  • Integration capabilities with external systems or platforms.
  • Open Platforms strategy, enabling our customers or partners to develop new features in our system by themselves.
