**The service you will work in….**

The Integrated Development Team supports in delivering Hestias ambitious
business development goals, securing income from a range of sources. As a
member of the Business Development Team, you will help us explore
opportunities for growth, develop existing services and strategically manage
relationships with key stakeholders.

**A day in this role looks like….**

As a Director of Integrated Development**** at Hestia, you will play a crucial
role in our Central Services. Your contributions will directly influence the
lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and
independence.

A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to dobe
responsible for are:

* All business development and new business opportunities, including health funded (eg Mental Health Trusts ICBs) opportunities for Hestia.
* The successful candidate will lead on business development activities and meet the net new business and retention targets within the organisational strategic plan.
* You will work closely with the Executive Director of Development, the Executive Director of Services and the Operational Directors in service and financial modelling and setting the vision for new business opportunities – across local authority, health and other grant funding.
* Ensuring that Hestia meets the net new business and retention targets within its strategic plan by Setting the annual business development strategy and plan.
* Overseeing all business development activity including.
* Identifying and responding to business development opportunities.
* The preparation and timely submission of high-quality tenders, bids and proposals in conjunction with relevant colleagues.
* Ensuring all bids are risk assessed and appropriate actions are taken to mitigate risks, for example around inflation, TUPE or pension costs.
* Development of new services and products including delivery against the Health Strategy securing NHS funding (MH Trusts and ICBs).
* Cultivating partnerships and partnership models for tenders and service delivery
* Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including commissioners and landlords.
* Agreeing budgets and service models for new and remodelled operational services with the Finance Team.

* Demonstrable skills and experience in securing new business from local authorities and health trusts ICBs.
* Accountability to lead a developing team in acquiring new business.
* Collaborative working skills to engage colleagues from operations to support the retention of current contracts.
* The ability to evidence the Hestia values in your everyday interactions with all partners.
* Experience of strategic development and securing new business.
* Experience of securing contracts for the delivery of innovative services from local authorities and or health commissions.
* Knowledge of Quality Assurance models.
* Ability to provide inspiring leadership to Business Development and Health departments and the wider organisation.
* Experience of producing strategic reports and recommendations in support of business objectives.
* In depth knowledge of sources of information about tendering opportunities, understanding of, and ability to assess new market opportunities and trends in support of the business strategy.
* Detailed understanding of competitive tendering processes and evidence of taking a leading role in the preparation and submission of successful bids.
* Understanding current and future challenges in Social Care, housing related support, health, criminal justice services and their regulatory frameworks.
* Ability to form effective partnerships to promote, assess and target opportunities to grow Hestias business.
* Ability to convincingly present key information, in writing and in person, and have the desired impact on others – excellent data and financial analysis skills.
* Ability to prioritise a demanding workload and work effectively under pressure to tight deadlines, proactively focused with the ability to react to requests.
* Experience of setting budgets and the ability to model budgets and interpret complex financial information.
* Service User Focus: Delivers, or contributes to delivering, a positive Service User experience.

* Excellent IT and Digital skills and confident in the use of Microsoft Office functions.
* Use of MS Word –ability to compose bids and reports.
* Use of MS Excel –ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets.
* Use of MS Powerpoint – ability to prepare presentations.
* Use of MS Outlook – ability to read and compose emails and maintain Outlook.
* Ability to maintain and develop the contracts database with IT colleagues.
