Class 1 Night Drivers - Royal Mail

Due to the ongoing summer peak, we are currently looking for numerous HGV Class 1 Night Drivers to work at the Royal Mail depot based in Southampton!

PLEASE NOTE - Drivers must have a DBS processed for this position.

All candidates must have held their Class 1 licence for one year or more and have used their tacho card within the last six months!

What will you do in a typical day?

As a HGV Class 1 Driver you will be an integral part of the business working independently on the road. Majority of the work will involve the collection and delivery of mail to RDC Depots and Mail Centres nationally, with a small proportion of the role involving pickups (2/3 per shift).

We are looking for drivers with a 'can-do' attitude as some interaction with the load is required. You will be given a fixed route and will need to follow schedules whilst maintaining the security of the load and the condition of the vehicle.

What are the shift patterns?

There are numerous start times around the clock and the work is booked on a week-by-week basis.We can work with any availability you may have, however the more flexible you can be, the more shifts you will be offered!

CURRENTLY THE SOUTHAMPTON DEPOT ARE VERY HEAVY ON NIGHT SHIFTS!
