Job Description
Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking for a new challenge?
We have an exciting opportunity with a manufacturing company based in Selby
Join the team and be part of a leading national chemical manufacturer and trader, with a rich history reaching back to 1976. They currently have nine operations across the UK and one in the USA and boast an annual turnover exceeding £125 million and employ over 500 people. They currently manage more than one million tonnes of specialist chemicals annually, supplying a diverse range of industries including agriculture, water utilities, steel production, energy utilities, pharmaceuticals, and homecare products.
With a full order book it’s now time to expand their team of Mechanical Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
* Maintenance and inspection of various plant equipment
* Experience with various pump types (centrifugal, PD, etc.)
* Handling rotating machinery
* Pipe-fitting (plastic essential)
* Conducting vessel visual inspections
* Reactive and preventative maintenance
* Working from a Maintenance Management System (MMS)
About You:
* Apprentice Trained
* NVQ Level 3
* Ipaf (preferable)
* Chemical Experience (advantageous)
* Working knowledge of Mono, Diaphragm & Centrifugal Pumps
* Prepared to share your knowledge to assist the next generation of rising stars
* Not afraid to put new ideas forward.
* Strong team player with good communication skills
* IT literate
