Job Description

Do you have a facilities and hands-on maintenance background? Are you a strong facilitator, able to coordinate multiple priorities to make things happen? Do you feel ready to supervise the day-to-day operation and compliance of a fast-paced warehouse environment? If yes, we have the opportunity for you!

We’re looking for a Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator to join us at our brand-new B&Q site in Blyth – S81 8PU. You will be responsible for the management of all site services including procurement, contract management, building and grounds maintenance, security and infrastructure.

This is a full time, permanent position, where you’ll be working Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00. However, some flexibility is required on occasion, this is logistics after all!

Pay, benefits and more:

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £32,000 per annum. What you’ll do on a typical day:

* Managing the site contracts for all soft services including security, cleaning and catering to ensure the most cost-effective service is provided, completing basic hands-on duties when required

* Working in partnership with the key stakeholders, ensure that the internal buildings are arranged making the best use of space taking into consideration cost, site operational efficiencies and the employee working environment

* Maintain all records relating to inspections, tests, maintenance and repair to meet legal compliance

* Ensure compliance in all areas of responsibility in respect of workplace ethics, legal, environmental, security and Health and Safety

What you need to succeed at GXO:

* Experience of working within a similar facilities/maintenance role and environment, some basic hands-on skill is also required

* Technical knowledge of hard and soft building services and experience of managing 3rd party KPI’s and relationships, able to build strong business relationships with both internal and external customers

* Effective problem solver with strong commercial acumen

* Understanding of continuous improvement principles
