Job Description
Our client is a growing and successful company in the FM sector, specialising in mechanical, electrical, and building services for the commercial and leisure industries.
They are currently seeking a Plumbing Engineer due to swift growth within the company. The Plumbing Engineer will deliver safe, professional solutions with a focus on first-time fixes, handling tasks from care home maintenance to high-profile hospitality projects, while acting as a company ambassador. The role is mostly field-based with occasional office visits.
What's in it for you?
Monday to Friday (08:00 - 5:00).
Hourly Pay - Up to £17 per hour.
This is a mobile role so you will be required to travel across the UK (main areas of work are Local to the office, anywhere from Birmingham to Newcastle and Manchester to Hull).
Overnight stay will be required occasionally which would include a £40 overnight allowance.
Will be required to be on call for the week which could be once a month or once every couple of months depending on workload.
Standby rate of £120.
Overtime rates - Anything before 7am and after 6pm is 1.5x and any Sunday work is x2.
Paid door to door.
Employee Referral Scheme.
Van and fuel card.
28 days holiday (includes bank holidays).
Company pension.Responsibilities
Undertake planned and reactive maintenance assignments.
Complete new build and refurbishment projects.
Test out minor works installations including testing and inspection, and on completion, issue valid test certificates.
Ensure facilities are maintained to the required levels.
Carry out minor works installations.
Ensure all operations are safe.
Operate an electronic tablet system and complete duties such as submitting time sheets and expense claims.Requirements/Qualifications
Experience in installation and maintenance work preferred.
Unvented hot water systems (G3) would be an advantage but is not essential.
An understanding of current Health & Safety and safe working practices.
An understanding of working to agreed Service Level Agreements is an advantage but not essential.
Full driving licence is essential.
A DBS check will be required.
