Sr. Software Engineer

Apex is looking for a highly motivated Sr. Software Engineer to provide business solutions for our Excess and Surplus applications. This individual will lead and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of critical projects within our clients policy administration system. As a member of the Enterprise Delivery Team, this individual will work in both a technical and leadership function, leading teams through the analysis, planning, and delivery of system enhancements and strategic initiatives. The candidate should be knowledgeable working with complex systems and poses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must haves

Willing to go on site in CHARLOTTE, NC 1-2x a month

• Ideally 2 years lead experience working as driver of teams of 30+ resources and overall 10-15 years IT experience
• Ability to drive forward IT momentum - evaluate current tech stack and make suggestions to drive to most current implementations to align with business needs.
• Experience being a part of PI Planning teams- the tech advocate
• Lead experience - being able to step in and do the work if needed/ check behind other resources, report up to stake holders, drive IT needs
• Clear communication written and verbal
• Team player attitude
