Job Description

Initial Duration: 6 months

Pay Rate Range: $47-$50

We are seeking a talented Voice Engineer to join our growing IT team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing advanced voice communication systems and technologies. If you have expertise in voice engineering and passion for delivering best-in-class voice services, this could be the perfect role for you!

In this hands-on position, you will leverage your technical skills to ensure our voice infrastructure remains high-quality, reliable, and efficient. Your days will be spent on exciting initiatives like troubleshooting complex issues, optimizing system performance, and leading projects to upgrade or deploy new solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand needs and continuously enhance our voice services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement VoIP, PBX, SIP, unified communications, and other voice solutions
  • Develop and execute voice technology deployment plans to minimize disruption
  • Monitor and maintain voice systems to ensure optimal reliability and call quality
  • Perform updates, patches, and configuration changes to enhance performance
  • Diagnose and resolve complex voice issues quickly and accurately
  • Provide advanced support for critical voice incidents and work cross-functionally to resolve issues
  • Lead and manage projects focused on voice system upgrades, migrations, and integrations
  • Maintain comprehensive voice system documentation and generate performance reports to inform strategic decisions
  • Research emerging technologies and recommend innovations to improve services
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years experience in voice engineering
  • Expertise with VoIP, PBX, SIP, unified communications platforms
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNP, CCIE)
  • In-depth knowledge of voice protocols and network fundamentals
  • Proficiency with voice hardware, software, and troubleshooting tools
  • Experience with network design, QoS and bandwidth management
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
