Tax Supervisor

Steel Accountancy provides a broad spectrum of small business accounting services covering a wide range of industries. Steel is seeking a motivated and experienced Tax Senior/Supervisor to join their team. As a Tax Senior, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing tax compliance and advisory work for a diverse client base. This role involves preparing and reviewing tax returns, researching tax issues, and assisting with tax planning strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
• Assist clients with tax planning and compliance, including estimated tax payments and tax projections.
• Review financial statements and ensure tax implications are properly reflected.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and regulations.
• Mentor and supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional client service at all times.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in public accounting or a related field, with a focus on tax compliance and advisory services.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
