Job Opportunity: Software Verification Lead
Location: Cheltenham
Rate: £75 per hour (Umbrella inside IR35)
Duration: 12-month Contract
About the Role:
We're urgently seeking a Software Verification Lead to join our team in Cheltenham. With critical project milestones approaching, we need an experienced engineer to lead unit testing and ensure timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Software Verification: Author test specifications and scripts and perform unit testing using industry-standard tools.
Technical Support: Prepare technical specifications and interfaces for the Electrical Power Distribution System, and support hardware/software integration.
Design Reviews: Collaborate with certification, safety, and quality teams to meet project commitments.
Agile Collaboration: Participate in daily stand-ups, planning, and retrospectives within an agile SCRUM framework.
Essential Skills:
DO178 B/C: Strong experience with these safety standards.
Communication Protocols: Expertise in CAN, RS485, I2C, SPI, ARINC429, and related tools.
Programming: Proficient in C/C++ for embedded devices.
Debugging: Skilled in using debuggers like Lauterbach and Trace32 scripting.
Lab Equipment: Hands-on experience with low-voltage lab tools like oscilloscopes.
Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Engineering/Technology.
Experience: 5+ years in software lifecycle, particularly in safety-critical systems.
Preferred Experience:
Developer testing and Verification & Validation (VnV) activities aligned with DO178 B/C standards.
