Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor (minimum 3 – 4 years experience) to join a highly successful and well-established steelwork engineering business to cover construction projects near Derby.

Quantity Surveyor duties include:
* Work from the office together with frequent visits to construction sites around Derby.
* Conduct cost control and cost estimation for construction projects.
* Prepare and analyse project budgets, including material, labour, and equipment costs.
* Review and evaluate contractor bids and proposals.
* Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
* Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify quantities of materials used.
* Prepare reports and presentations on cost analysis findings.
Quantity Surveyor requirements:
* Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying.
* Previous experience working as a QS for 3 – 4 years
* Ability to read drawings / specs.
* Knowledge of cost control principles and techniques.
* Experience using cost estimation software/tools.
* Good communication skills and have a good attention to detail.
