Management Accountant (Qualified)
* Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
* Duration: Permanent
* Location: Guiseley, Leeds
Summary
HPCareers are supporting our client, a reputable UK based distributor of specialist products throughout Europe, partnering with some of the worlds leading brands. Due to an exciting expansion phase, our client now has a career opportunity for a professional Management Accountant to lead a small finance team, reporting directly into the Managing Director.
Job Description
* Management of the day to day running of the finance department (one other team member)
* Production of monthly consolidated management information: Profit & Loss Account; Balance Sheets; Cash Flow; Sales and Margin Trends Analysis; with detailed commentary on all of the aforementioned items
* Quarterly VAT and EC Sales returns
* Managing an external payroll bureau
* Sales analysis trends from previous periods and years
* Working closely with and supporting Managing Director providing appropriate financial information to enable the smooth running of the business and to facilitate and support key strategic decisions made within the business
* Managing and monitoring supplier rebates receivable
* Preparation of year end accounts and full pack for external accountants to prep stat accounts
* New financial year budget preparation
* Maintenance of fixed assets registers and share registers of all associated companies
* Timely quarterly legislative reporting, of VAT, Intrastat, EC Sales Lists to HMRC
Key Requirements
* Qualified Accountant, either through professional qualification or experience
* Sage 50 (report writing function)
* Sage 200 is desirable
* Motivational people manager
* Significant commercial awareness
* Business analysis and strategic planning/forecasting
