Operations Technician
Are you an experienced Operations Technician seeking a new opportunity? Join a leading O&M service provider at a cutting-edge Biomass power station in Leicestershire. This role offers a chance to be part of an innovative team in the renewable energy industry.
As an Operations Technician, you will oversee and manage all plant operations, reporting directly to the Shift Team Leader to ensure efficient facility performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Follow all company policies and procedures.
* Supervise and engage with on-site contractors.
* Utilise SCADA/DCS systems to monitor plant operations.
* Manage fuel stocks and optimise plant efficiency.
* Maintain accurate records and report any environmental incidents.
* Implement health, safety, and environmental policies.
* Ensure high standards of housekeeping.
* Provide shift cover for other STL’s during absences.
* Work within a 365-day, 24/7 shift rota.
Qualifications and Skills:
* ONC level/NVQ (or equivalent) in an Engineering/Process discipline.
* Practical experience in Energy from Waste, Biomass, Power Station, or similar industries.
* Strong understanding of process flow and SCADA monitoring.
* Proactive worker with a positive attitude.
* Good numeracy skills and ability to interpret spreadsheets.
* Proficient in IT (Word, Excel, etc.).
* Knowledge of Incineration and Power Generation.
* Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
