Job Title: Leave of Absence/ ACA Analyst

What you'll do:
Receive and respond to routine employee inquiries, maintain documentation of communications, existing issues, and issue resolutions, referring complex inquiries to more senior staff.
  • Administer FMLA manually (which forms to choose, notice of eligibility and rights)
  • Engage actively with and maintain a productive working relationship with vendors, state agencies, internal and external customers as well as team members on a frequent and continual basis.
  • Maintain general knowledge of federal, state, and local leave administration laws.
  • Research and adhere to federal, state, and local leave laws, as well as Invited policy, insurance plans and service level commitments.
  • Employ internal objectives for the end-to-end leave administration process, as they relate to federal and/or state leave mandates, as well as Invited procedures and business decisions.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all leave-tracking activity, including but not limited to leave eligibility, entitlement, certification documents, the continuation of group health plan and supplemental benefit coverages as well as required and courtesy communications throughout the leave of absence cycle.
  • Maintain knowledge on state paid family medical leave policy changes and updates.
  • Remain current on FMLA, state leave mandates and income replacement requirements for both worksite and corporate leaves of absence.
  • Create job aids and conduct cross-training sessions for the team and other partners as needed.
  • Enter data into data management system and audit for accuracy, completeness, and conformity to established procedures
  • Research industry trends and governmental regulations
  • Understand ACA regulations regarding benefits and leaves and assists with ongoing ACA requirements
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties as needed

Required Skills:
  • 3-5 years of Leave Administration
  • Extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws.
  • 1 - 2 years' experience with California state leave laws
  • Knowledge of health and welfare and leave of absence
  • Highly proficient of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Understands industry trends and governmental regulations
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
