Safety Technician of security equipment

As a service company specialising in the recruitment and management of a highly qualified workforce, Stoltd Partner places technical profiles in the Oil and Gas industry. It operates more specifically in the Marine, Subsea, Inspections, Offshore Transport and Maintenance sectors. Mainly present in West Africa and the Middle East, Stoltd Partner deploys profiles ranging from technicians to expert/specialist engineers.

In a growing international context, we are recruiting for our client based in Angola, one Safety Technician on offshore operation responsible of the inspection and/or maintenance activities of safety equipment in compliance with technical standards and regulatory requirements (flags, classification organisms, manufacturers and QHSE).

Position:

• Follows up all inspections & maintenance operations he is responsible for (life-saving appliances, cylinders, respiratory protection, gas detection, extinguishers and other firefighting equipment).
• Sets up the list of equipment to be inspected and/or maintained on his/her work site along with the Technical & Administrative Coordinator.
• Prepares materials, tools and equipment required for inspection and/or maintenance operations
• Checks the stock of materials and spare parts, anticipates the needs.
• Ensures in conjunction with his/her Manager of the compliance between maintenance needs and initial works orders/material requests.
• Proposes all the resources required for certification of equipment (revision of procedures; additional works; purchase or renewal of equipment…).
• Assures a daily report about operations progress and problems encountered to his/her Manager
• Supervises and coordinates the execution of work done by his/her team of helpers.
• Controls the quality of work done by his/her team.
• Prepares and issues reports and certificates.
• Checks the stock of materials and spare parts, anticipates the needs.
• When necessary, shares his/her technical knowledge and advises helpers of choice and manner of progressing the operations in the frame of the realization of the contract.

Profile:

Holding a Higher National Certificate/Diploma specialised in maintenance of safety equipment or equivalent, you justify at least 5 years of experience on your previous similar positions. We are looking for a profile open to an expatriate contract with 5 weeks on / 5 weeks off rotation cycle.

Given the multicultural working environment, a good level of English is required, French and Portuguese are a plus.
