An excellent opportunity has arisen at a top tier mid-sized city firm for an experienced real estate finance paralegal or commercial property paralegal seeking a real estate finance role.

The Firm

The firm has two main practice areas that they are highly ranked in and these are litigation and real estate and they also have highly regarded teams in corporate, banking and IP. There is a large real estate practice which covers commercial property, high-net-worth residential property, property finance, development construction and property litigation.

The Role

This is an exciting role as it is working closely with a talented and supportive partner. The role will cover all banking and finance, with around 75% of the work being real estate finance (property finance). Duties will include:

• Implementing on each new lending instruction the formal team protocol to deliver as far as is possible a turnkey service.
• Having day to day conduct (subject to associate supervision) and responsibility for short term secured loan instructions from banks and bridging lenders from instruction to completion.
• Overseeing post-completion registration and other formalities.
• Dealing with loan redemptions, discharges of whole and parts of securities, loan tranche releases and further advances.
• Handling client expectations and deadlines in a proactive manner.

This role has arisen as the paralegal will be starting a training contract with the firm in September! There is very much the scope for you to do the same.

The Requirements

At least 6 months experience in real estate finance, property finance, banking or commercial property is required. The firm are however open to where you have gained this real estate paralegal experience: as you will have a high level of responsibility they like people who have worked at regional firm or smaller city firms.
