Our client is a world leader in commodities trading, dealing with a range of commodities like oil, power, gas, and carbon. Due to significant growth in derivatives and as they expand into markets beyond oil, they are looking for a senior developer to join their team to work with derivatives and post-trade processes, including onboarding exchanges and broker platforms.

Role:

• Work with the middleware team, primarily working to onboard different markets and exchanges.
• Work within an Agile project team to design and develop robust enterprise-wide solutions that meet technical specifications and design requirements.
• Utilize industry-standard practices and technologies, delivering low-maintenance, robust applications on budget and on deadline.
• Onboarding broker platform and exchanges in commodities area.
• Work with users and colleagues to develop and deliver appropriate testing strategies.
• A solid understanding of agile methodologies, including story definition, sprint planning, continuous integration, and automated testing.

Requirements:

• Commodities Trading experience: specifically with derivative products from exchanges and broker platforms. Good knowledge of different trading products and the differences in how they trade.
• Development: Excellent with C#, .NET, RESTful APIs & Microservices architecture.
• Middleware Technologies: Experience with FIX messaging, XML, and AMQ (or equiv) is essential.
• Additional Skills: Familiarity with nHibernate, OData, and Test-Driven Development.
• Tools: Experience with Agile Development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Crucible. Exposure to ActiveBatch, Autosys, or other scheduling tools is beneficial.
