Our technological & engineering capabilities are constantly evolving and leading the industry. The site specialises in intelligent bolting and sealing solutions for critical applications delivering innovative engineered solutions for our global customer base. The Metals Manufacturing Business Unit has three core products and services within multiple industries exporting over 80% of its turnover, the company has a strong recognition for high quality in several sectors.



The Position

The Commercial Manager has a team of key account managers, estimators, and customer service champions, the main role is to lead, develop and motivate the team through a sustained period of growth. Working with the functional mangers to deliver a quality product on time and at the right cost. Providing customers a leading class level of customer service, increasing customer satisfaction, loyalty & retention and to meet customer expectations.


Key responsibilities

  • Developing and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Maximising profitability, minimising risk, while working with a multi-disciplined team.
  • Ensure the team are engaged and enabled, our processes are robust and effective.
  • Ensuring the tools & equipment are effective and relevant for the commercial requirements.
  • Managing change and deliver improved business performance in line with the business vision and objectives.
  • Working in conjunction with the HR team ensure rules, regulations and company policies are adhered too.


Experience/Qualifications:


Essentials

  • Demonstrative understanding of engineering with the ability to identify customer requirements, understand engineering drawings and customer specifications
  • Ability to produce precise outputs
  • Leadership and influencing skills
  • Management qualification or other professional management training(or working towards), e.g. CMI/ILM
  • Degree in Business, Engineering or other related subjects


Preferred

  • Proficient in MS office & ERP system
  • Decision Making & Problem Solving Skills
  • Presentation Skills
  • Export Terms & Procedures
