Data Migration SME - S4 Hana Migration

Length: Until 30th June 2025

Location: Hybrid - 3 days on site in Marble Arch

Salary: £95,000 to £100,000 per annum- depending on experience

Data Migration Subject Matter Expert (Data Workstream) Job Description

My client has embarked on Finance Transformation journey which incorporates a large-scale S/4HANA deployment for Finance. We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Data Migration Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of SAP data migration processes and methodologies, as well as strong analytical skills to ensure the seamless transfer of data between SAP ECC6.0 and the new SAP S/4HANA.

Key responsibilities:

• Data Analysis: Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues.
• Work with business units to cleanse and prepare data for migration.
• Utilise SAP tools (e.g., SAP Data Services, LTMC) for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of data migration processes, mapping documents, and data lineage.
• Provide training and support to team members on data migration procedures.
• Develop and execute data validation and testing plans to validate data integrity post-migration.
• Collaborate with Data Reviewers and Business Unit Approvers to ensure successful data migration with respect to business processes.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Act as the primary point of contact for data migration-related inquiries from Data Reviewers and Business Unit Approvers
• Act as liaison between TCS Development Team and the wider Data Workstream
• Provide regular updates on migration progress to Data Lead and Project Manager

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven hands-on experience with SAP ECC6.0 and SAP S/4HANA is mandatory
• Completed at least one end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation
• SAP Certified Associate qualification is highly desirable
• Project Management qualifications is advantageous (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Scrum, Agile etc.)

Skills:

• Proficient in data migration tools, techniques and methodologies specific to SAP (e.g. LTMC, SAP Data Services, SE16N, DBACOCKPIT)
• Proficient in advanced Excel and SQL
• Highly knowledgeable in Data Modelling, Migration and Management best practices
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities

Work Environment:

• On site in London (Marble Arch) 2-3 days week
• This position may require occasional travel to Salford Quays, Manchester and collaboration with offshore team in India
