Senior Java Developer - Systematic Hedge Fund - London - Up to £350k TC

A front office development team for one of London's top-performing systematic Hedge Funds is looking for an experienced Java Developer to join the collaborative team.

The firm has had multiple years of strong performance and is now looking to diversify the strategies and products they trade.

The unique part of this role is the business exposure you get, where you have the potential to learn more about systematic trading and apply any previous experience you may have into the field. On top of this, the business is pushing into using Java 21

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop end to end core trading systems, covering algo development as well as OMS and EMS development.
• Working with Traders and Researchers to implement new tooling and the deployment of trading strategies.
• Market Data integration and processing of real-time data feeds
• Latency optimisation and performance tuning for latency sensitive trading systems.

Requirements:

• Excellent Java development skills, with previous experience designing and building systems from scratch.
• Previous experience building algo trading and execution systems.
• Proven ability to write clean well-tested code.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Practical experience with 0GC and multithreading
