Computer Aided Design Technician

Salary: £30,000 - £50,000

We are partnering with one of the UK’s top metal fabrication manufacturers, renowned for delivering exceptional quality in both the domestic and engineering sectors!

With over three decades of success and a solid reputation for excellence in craftsmanship, the company is poised for further growth and as part of this expansion, they are looking to welcome an additional CAD Technician to our skilled team.

You will need robust expertise in AutoCAD 2D and a proven history in the fabrication industry to succeed in this role. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a keen eye for detail, outstanding time management abilities, and the capability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Develop precise manufacturing and fabrication drawings from project designs within specified deadlines.
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and on-site teams throughout the design phase.
• Prepare material, component, and bolt lists to assist in procurement.
• Support manufacturing and installation teams by providing clear fabrication drawings and addressing any arising queries.

Your Experience Required:

• Minimum of 1 year in CAD.
• Minimum of 1 year in fabrication.
• Experience in creating manufacturing drawings specifically for steel fabrication.
