Job Description

Our client, a leading independent commodity pricing and information organisation, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of SME to lead their SME division through an exciting period of growth. This is a unique opportunity to oversee a portfolio with thousands of low-value, high-growth accounts and drive strategies that will unlock significant future potential.


*Please note - this is a 12 Month FTC*


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the transformation of the SME division to ensure it continues to meet ambitious growth targets, managing a high-volume, transactional portfolio of accounts.
  • Implement innovative software and automation solutions to efficiently scale operations and enhance customer segmentation.
  • Use data-driven insights to segment thousands of accounts, identifying those with high-growth potential while protecting valuable, at-risk relationships.
  • Design and implement tailored customer journeys for each segment, ensuring optimal touchpoints and engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and insights teams to maximize customer relationships and capture new opportunities.
  • Accurately forecast sales performance and work with finance to ensure precision in performance models.
  • Inspire and manage a team to exceed sales targets and deliver measurable success across the portfolio.
  • Present data-backed performance reports and strategic initiatives to executive leadership.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Extensive experience in managing large portfolios with thousands of accounts and implementing strategies that drive high-volume, low-value business growth.
  • Expertise in using data and software to accurately segment and target different customer cohorts.
  • Proven ability to execute sales growth strategies and capitalize on high-growth opportunities.
  • A creative, enthusiastic leader with excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire a high-performing team.
  • Experience managing global stakeholders and collaborating across functions to deliver results.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce), Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A proactive, hands-on leader with a focus on results and innovation.
