Category Buyer - Indirect

The Category Buyer - Indirect will be responsible for managing procurement for indirect cost categories, including Marketing and Engineering. This role involves supplier relationship management, spend data analysis, tendering, and contract management. The position plays a critical role in driving value for the business by working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Key Accountabilities:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

- Develop a deep understanding of key suppliers within the relevant categories.

- Produce supplier spend analysis to be shared with the Senior Category Buyer and Department Heads.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify supplier value and agree on action plans.

- Support stakeholders in executing procurement action plans.

- Deliver a comprehensive activity value report at the end of the 12-month period to the Finance Director.

- Assist Category Leaders with tendering processes and contract management as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Procurement, ideally within Marketing categories.

- Strong communication skills.

- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

- Experienced negotiator with strong commercial acumen.

- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

- Tenacious with a strong can-do, pragmatic attitude.

- Strong analytical skills, capable of deriving actionable insights from data.

This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to be in present in the office 3 times per week.

The salary bracket is £45,000 - £55,000 + bonus and benefits
