eCommerce Technology Manager

London (3 days office based)

£60,000 - £65,000 base salary


The E-commerce Technical Manager will lead the management of the technology infrastructure and drive the adoption of cutting-edge digital solutions across e-commerce platforms. This role is integral to ensuring the optimisation of existing systems while implementing new tools to enhance our website, marketplace, and app performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee the integration of new systems and technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation. Define project objectives, manage stakeholder expectations, and handle risk management.
  • Technical Stack Management: Act as the technical lead for our existing systems, which include our website, marketplace platforms, order management systems, and ERP. Support the Customer Care team with automation improvements in our Help Desk and the Data team with ERP system management.
  • Technology Integration: Lead efforts in exploring API solutions to connect and expand our digital ecosystem. Manage relationships with external developers to ensure system integrations are seamless.
  • Technology Strategy: Develop and implement a forward-looking technology roadmap that aligns with business strategy. Prioritize and manage technology projects based on their potential business impact, resource requirements, and market trends.


Technical Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in a technical management role, ideally in the e-commerce sector.
  • Tech Stack Expertise: Strong knowledge of order management systems, marketplace platforms, ERP systems, and web technologies. Familiarity with API integrations and automation processes to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to define, plan, and execute technology projects from inception to completion, with a strong focus on stakeholder management and risk mitigation.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong background in managing ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft 365 Business Central).
  • Proficient in API integration and working with external development teams.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and managing marketplace infrastructures.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Excellent communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners. Ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable business strategies.
